James Otieno
My names are James Otieno Onyango I am 18 years old. Am the third born in our family. We are five children three girls and two boys. I live in mathare slum with my aunt since both my parents passed on when I was at a tender age of five years. I joined the Mwelu foundation in the year 2007, Since I joined the organization I have learned so many things through Julius Mwelu Things like photography, creative writing, film making, designing, editing and many other things But am mostly interested in photography especially war photography I also like making films and editing. In Mwelu foundation I am the head of Photography because I do alot of photography and also assist some of my fellow member with ideas. Mostly we do capture pictures of positive and negative things in mathare slum and we do write articles. Photography is a part of sending messages, creativity, culture and to the world that’s what I believe.
