Many kids who are in juvenile detention centres are there for crimes such as stealing, roaming the streets aimlessly, drug abuse and causing mayhem to their guardians. This has made some of the them feel abandoned and neglected by their loved ones. But the fact remains that this institution has been set up to rehabilitate them and not to harm them. It is there for their own betterment and through that they are expected to be released as more responsible citizens.

In this picture you can see a lot of files, each representing one child. This shows us that there are a huge number of kids in there - many stay for several years.
