When it Rains...

When it rains the problems of the slum become ten times worse. The open sewers rise up and flood people’s homes. Bare electrical wires are an ever-present danger. Furthermore the noise of the rain on the metal roofs is so loud that acts of rape and robbery can go unnoticed - the perpetrators feel safe in the knowledge that no-one will be able to hear the screams.
